UNIABUJA hospital domesticates Patients’ Bill of Rights

The University of Abuja Teaching Hospital has officially domesticated the Patients’ Bill of Rights, with a view to ensuring better clinical satisfaction.

The Chief Medical Director, UATH Prof Bissallah Ekele, who was represented by the Director, Clinical Services UATH, Dr Bob Ukonu, said that the hospital is conscious of its patients’ needs.

Ekele disclosed this at the commissioning of the PBoR in University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada.

He added that staff of the facility do ensure that every patient is treated with utmost care and respect.

He noted that the hospital has domesticated the bill at four points in the hospital to ensure it is fully implemented.

He said, “What a patient means to us as a hospital is so much and we have been making frantic efforts to make sure that they are not only treated here but everything that is needed to make them comfortable in the cause of their treatment is being given to them.
