Tragedy struck in Kogi state as twelve supporters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) lost their lives in a fatal road accident along the Anyigba-Ankpa road on Saturday.
The unfortunate incident occurred as the SDP supporters from Ankpa local government were en route to Anyigba for a party meeting when their bus collided head-on with another vehicle.
In response to the heartbreaking news, the SDP governorship candidate, Alhaji Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, expressed deep sorrow in a statement issued on Saturday night. The statement conveyed the profound impact of the unforeseen tragedy on the Ankpa community and the political landscape.
