A stalwart of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and aspirant for Okehi Local government chairmanship, Engr. Ismail Adeiza Yaqub has expressed great joy following the Supreme Court judgement affirming Governor Yahaya Bello as the winner of November 16th gubernatorial election.
Engr. Adeiza’s celebration knew no bound as he Visited God’s Gift Orphanage home with his staffs and friends where he made charitable donation of #250,000 and food stuffs to the welfare of the children and described the apex court’s judgement as an affirmation and reflection of the popular will of all kogites who unreservedly voted in Gov. Bello for second term.
In his own very words, he said to his audience “I am so happy today because God has put mischievous people to shame and had put them to silence. Whom God has enthroned, no man can dethrone. Today’s Judgement confirms that the Judiciary can be trusted to deliver fair and truthful judgements because the election petition tribunal had earlier affirmed Bello the winner, the appeal court confirmed it, and now the Supreme court has reaffirmed it.
INEC’s record shows that Yahaya Bello won the election by a very wide margin and we had expected that because the majority of all Kogites voted for Yahaya Bello. Therefore, today’s judgement is an affirmation of popular will. So I Congratulate our Governor, Alhaji Adoza Bello.”
Engr. Adeiza also assure the management of the orphanage home on his commitment to continuously support them, and ensure all-round development in Okehi L.G.A if elected. He further advice opposition parties and mischievous people to desist from all forms of slander, character assassination and nefarious acts which will cause dissidence and compound societal problems.
He finally stressed the importance of opposition parties to cooperate with the Governor and to ceaselessly pray for him to achieve all he intends to do and to set Kogi State on the trajectory of progress.
