Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing the Kogi Central senatorial district, has reiterated her commitment to serving all constituents, irrespective of their political differences. This declaration was made on Thursday during a meeting with National Assembly workers from Kogi Central in her office.
The lawmaker welcomed the National Assembly workers, assuring them of her unwavering support and a willingness to address their concerns whenever the need arises. Emphasizing her role as the representative of all people in Kogi Central, Senator Natasha affirmed that political affiliations would not be a barrier to attending to the needs of her constituents and advocating for their interests.
In her words, Senator Natasha stated, “I am here to serve everybody, those of us who are in Kogi Central and those of us who are here and as many of our population that are in Ondo, Nasarawa, Kano, Lagos, and other places, I wouldn’t want anybody to be left out.”
Highlighting ongoing efforts to fulfill campaign promises, particularly for women, she revealed collaboration with Senator Ireti Kingibe on a World Bank project for women set to commence early next year. The senator urged constituents to stay connected to her office and utilize the upcoming constituency offices in each local government area for communication and issue resolution.
Senator Natasha also assured constituents of her dedication to job creation, promising to secure employment opportunities for the people of Kogi Central. Despite the challenges faced upon assuming office, she called on the National Assembly workers to act as her eyes and ears, keeping her informed about developments in various committees.
“I came at a time when a lot of things are happening, but I am still trying to catch up. Work with my office, a lot of you are in various committees, let me know what is happening, be my ears and my eyes, and let me know what is going on,” she urged, expressing her commitment to bringing the best dividends of democracy to both the local and diaspora populations of Kogi Central.
