In a momentous event, the worldwide Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) Alumni Association proudly unveiled its brand new logo during the 2023 Annual Public Lecture and Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Lokoja over the weekend.
Comrade Gabriel Amari, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Chairman of the occasion, addressed the gathered members, emphasizing the importance of their commitment to both the association and their alma mater. He urged members to rally behind Mall Ibraheems Yahaya, the National President, and support his efforts to bring success to the association.
The Royal Father of the day, Muhammed Adoga Bayerohi, the Paramount Ruler of Oworo and Acting Chairman of the Lokoja Local Government Area Traditional Council, encouraged association members to prioritize peace and unity. Represented by Alh Ali Lawal, former State Permanent Secretary and the Maiyaki of Lokoja, the monarch stressed the significance of a united front to achieve common goals.
Alh Ibrahim Suleiman, a prominent member and stakeholder of the association, urged members to view each other as one big family. He pledged unwavering support to foster the growth and strength of the association.
Mall Ibraheems Yahaya, the National President, expressed his gratitude to the guests for their presence and participation in celebrating this milestone. He assured them of his commitment to fulfilling their expectations. He also acknowledged the support from Governor Yahaya Bello, which has resulted in appointments, employments, and the election of association members to significant positions such as the State House of Assembly, Commissioners, heads of boards, and permanent secretaries, among others.
