The Chief Executive Officer of Abogun Motors PLC, Mr. Adekunle Abogun, is currently under investigation by the Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for allegations of defamation of character, slander, and libel.
The purported victim, Mr. Adekolade Dele Samuel, the Managing Director of Kogi State Newspaper Corporation (Graphics Newspaper), filed the complaint against Abogun. The accusations suggest that Abogun defamed Adekolade’s character by claiming that he was harassed, abused, and threatened by him.
Adekolade has taken the matter to the NPF, providing evidence that he had never engaged in any such encounter with Abogun.
As part of the ongoing investigation, Abogun has been detained by the NPF since the early hours of Friday.
