Despite facing opposition, she secured a court order for damages against those who attempted to discredit her.

Natasha’s political journey began in 2018 when she declared her intention to run for the office of Senator representing Kogi Central in the Nigerian Senate under the Social Democratic Party (SDP). In 2022, she won the PDP’s primaries for the 2023 Kogi Central Senatorial Elections.

However, she faced challenges during the elections, including alleged road excavations to prevent the transportation of electoral materials. While she initially lost, the election tribunal declared her the winner on September 6, 2023. On October 31, 2023, the Court of Appeal in Abuja affirmed her victory, dismissing her opponent’s petition.
