In light of the upcoming Lent and Ramadan seasons, the Department of State Services (DSS) extends its heartfelt wishes for peace and harmony to both the Christian and Muslim communities. Recognizing the significance of these sacred observances, the DSS emphasizes the importance of promoting understanding, compassion, and respect among worshippers.
The DSS urges all stakeholders to refrain from practices such as economic exploitation and profiteering, which can undermine the true essence of these holy events. Illegal activities like price gouging and unethical marketing tactics are deemed ungodly and violate principles of fairness. As believers, it is incumbent upon everyone to uphold good standards and ensure that religious duties are observed with ease and dignity.
Clerics and religious leaders are encouraged to prioritize empathy, cooperation, and conflict prevention beyond the Lenten and Ramadan periods. The media is urged to utilize their platforms responsibly to foster informed and accurate engagements that contribute to national security objectives.
Residents are advised to remain vigilant against public dangers, particularly Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). It is recommended to avoid crowded or suspicious areas and report any unusual objects, activities, or movements to relevant security agencies.
The DSS calls for tolerance, bonds of brotherhood, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence among the populace. As the nation embarks on these spiritual journeys, the DSS reaffirms its commitment to providing strategic intelligence to ensure a safe and secure country.
