The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVSA) has introduced a mobile app and web portal, named the Lagos DSVCMS app, to streamline the tracking, monitoring, and management of gender-related cases in the state.
This innovative digital solution is available on Android, iOS, and Web Apps, enabling relevant agencies to provide efficient and swift assistance to victims of sexual and other gender-based crimes.
During a Case Conference Meeting/Onboarding session for key responder agencies in Lagos, the Executive Director of the agency, Titilola Rhodes-Vivour, highlighted the significance of this digital transformation.
The new app replaces the old manual process, which often led to delays in handling sexual and gender-based violence cases. Rhodes-Vivour emphasized the need for standardizing response mechanisms in Lagos State, pointing out that the digital initiative aligns with the Joint EU-UN Spotlight initiative’s support to the Lagos State Government.
Oluwatumininu Ojo, the Head of Case Management at the state agency, explained that the portal was specifically designed for agencies responsible for managing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) cases in the state.
The platform streamlines communication and collaboration among responders, ensuring a more efficient and timely approach to handling these sensitive cases.
This digital advancement marks a significant step forward in providing timely and comprehensive support to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in Lagos State, reinforcing the commitment to a safer environment for all residents.
