The Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology in Kogi State, Mr. Wemi Jones, has provided assurance that Kogi State University Kabba (KSU Kabba) will admit students during the ongoing academic year, following the anticipated release of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal.
Mr. Jones conveyed this commitment while addressing state lawmakers during a session at the House. He outlined various administrative measures taken, including the submission of a letter to JAMB, requesting the prompt release of its portal to KSU Kabba. This initiative aims to facilitate the admission process for prospective candidates within the current calendar year.
Expressing confidence in the progress made, the Commissioner projected that under the admissions granted, Governor Bello would preside over the matriculation ceremony for the inaugural group of students before concluding his term in January.
In his earlier remarks, the articulate Commissioner acknowledged the State House of Assembly’s commendable efforts in overseeing functions and swiftly passing bills related to the education sector throughout his four-year tenure. He specifically highlighted their prompt attention to matters concerning KSU Kabba, emphasizing the legislative body’s pivotal role in advancing educational initiatives within the state.
