The Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KOSSAA) has issued a directive requiring immediate action from all political parties involved in the recently concluded governorship election. The directive, communicated through a public notice signed by the agency’s General Manager, Richard Osaseyi, mandates the removal of all billboards, posters, and banners utilized during the electioneering campaign.

Osaseyi pointed out that, in accordance with Schedule 1, Section 27(2)(2) of the Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Law of 2022, it is mandatory for all political materials to be taken down within ten days following the conclusion of the event.

“Those affected by this notice are strongly advised to adhere to this directive on or before November 29, 2023. Subsequent to the expiration of this notice, any remaining signposts, billboards, posters, and banners will be dismantled at the expense of the defaulting party or owner,” stated Osaseyi.

The General Manager emphasized the importance of strict compliance with the directive, cautioning that those who fail to do so will bear the consequences of their actions.
