The eyewitness said that the neighbours had thought a fight was on-going due the loud noise coming from the compound and rushed to intervene until they arrived to their amazement, it was a case of abduction.

The eyewitness also noted that the gunmen crossed the road with the car they brought and set the car on fire by shooting at it to restrict people from running after them.

He said, “At first, it looked as if there was a fight, as there were loud noises from the compound of the victim, until some neighbors rushed in to intervene before they discovered that it was a case of abduction and unfortunately he has already been taken away by the men.

“We hurriedly went after them through the path they followed, but before we could get close to them, they shot at the car they brought for the operation and it caught fire.”

“The road is very narrow, so they had earlier used the car to block the road before they shot at it, thereby restricting us from running after them. The only alternative root we had was a valley, but before we could even get to the top of the valley, they had already gone far.”

“We could only see them slapping him from behind in an attempt to make him walk faster. While they saw us standing at the top of the valley, they told some of their men to wait behind, maybe as a cover. We stood there helpless for some minutes before some men of the Vigilantes arrived and went after them”.
