How to Apply for Nigerian Army Recruitment
If you are interested in joining the Nigerian Army, here is a step-by-step guide on how to apply for the recruitment process:
1. Visit the Recruitment Portal:
Start by visiting the official recruitment portal at http://recruitment.army.mil.ng.
2. Create an Account:
Log on to the provided link using your username and password to access the application form.
3. Complete the Application Form:
Fill out the application form provided on the portal. Once you have completed the form, submit it online. Make sure to print a copy of the submitted application form.
4. Fill Out the Guarantor’s Form:
Additionally, print and complete the Guarantor’s form as per the instructions provided.
5. Submit Documents at Designated Centers:
Bring duly signed copies of both the application form and the Guarantor’s form to the designated state recruitment centers. Ensure all required documents are complete and properly filled out.
6. Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be single and Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Possession of a National Identity Card/NIN is mandatory.
- Candidates must have a clean criminal record and must not have any convictions by a court of law.
- Minimum of 4 passes in not more than two sittings in WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB is required.
- Candidates must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit as per Nigerian Army Standards.
- Age Criteria: Non-trades men/women must be between 18 and 22 years old, while tradesmen/women must not exceed 26 years as of December 18, 2023.
- Minimum Height: Male candidates must be not less than 1.68 meters tall, and female candidates must be at least 1.65 meters tall.
- Valid birth certificate/age declaration endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital, or Local Government Council is mandatory.
- Candidates must possess a valid state of origin.
7. Special Requirement for Registered Nurses and Midwives:
Registered Nurses and Midwives above 30 years old are eligible to apply.
The online registration commenced on September 25 and will conclude on October 27, 2023. Selected candidates will participate in state recruitments scheduled from November 6 to 19, 2023.
