The poor man in the picture was sentenced to “death by starvation” for stealing a loaf of bread during the reign of Louis XIV in France.

The woman in the picture was his only daughter and the only visitor allowed to enter the cell. She was allowed to visit him daily but was frisked thoroughly such that no food would be taken in.

After 4 months, the man was still fresh and there were no traces of weight loss in him, the authorities became suspicious and started spying on her anytime she visit her father in the cell.

It came as a shock to them when she was caught breastfeeding her father to the fullest by sharing her baby’s milk. She was jailed and charged to court.

After much interrogation, the judges then realize the compassion and love she has for her father, pardoned the man and set him free.
