In a disturbing incident, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted an unspecified number of individuals working with Dangote Cement Company Plc in Okpella, Etsako West local government area of Edo state. The victims were traveling back to the Okpella community in a coaster bus after finishing their work when the gunmen ambushed them, forcing the bus to a halt at gunpoint.
Reports indicate that the gunmen emerged from the bush, brandishing firearms, and forcibly took the victims into the surrounding forest. Some individuals reportedly sustained bullet wounds during the ordeal.
