Accompanied by the state’s Commissioner for Education, Wemi Jones, and the Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba, Professor KIT Eniola, Ododo commended TETFund’s leadership for their support to higher educational institutions in the state. However, he stressed the need for further interventions, particularly under the Special High Impact Intervention Fund.

“I commend TETFUND for its significant contribution to the development of tertiary education in Kogi State, particularly in the rapid advancement of our new Kogi State University, Kabba, which recently held its inaugural matriculation for over 1000 students,” said Ododo.

While acknowledging TETFund’s impact in supporting higher education institutions such as Prince Abubakar Audu University Ayingba, Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, College of Education Ankpa, and College of Education (Technical) Kabba, Ododo emphasized the need for continued support to develop critical infrastructure in tertiary educational institutions.

He reiterated that education remains pivotal for societal development and affirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting priority areas in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) across all higher institutions in the state.

In response, Echono assured Governor Ododo of TETFund’s ongoing support to Kogi State through interventions in tertiary education, aligning with the governor’s vision for accelerated human capital development in the state.
