In a grand ceremony scheduled for January 12, the impressive multi-million Naira mosque in Ajiyolo Ajikpome, Dekina local government area of Kogi state, is set to be officially commissioned.

The organizers announced on Tuesday that Governor Yahaya Bello and the incoming Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, will grace the occasion as special guest and guest of honour, respectively. The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammed Abubakar Sa’ad III, and Dr Mathew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, the Attah Igala, will serve as spiritual and royal fathers of the day.

Other dignitaries include Eje Dekina, Usman Obaje; Eje Ankpa, Alh Ahmed Yakubu; Ogohi Anyigba, Shaibu Okolo; Ejeh Ofu Alh. Akwu Obaje, and Nda Paddy Usman.

The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, will chair the occasion, with the Secretary-General of Jumaatu Nasri Islam, Professor Khalid Aliyu Abubakar, as the guest speaker. Alh Yakubu Yusuf Okala, the Auditor General of Kogi State, will be the chief host.

The initiative and funding for this pro-people project came from Alh Yakubu Yusuf Okala, the Auditor General of Kogi State, who recognized the community’s need for a worthy worship center. The mosque is intended to facilitate the propagation of Allah’s works and bring people closer to their creator.

As the inauguration day approaches, the once tranquil Ajiolo Ajikpome community is now a hub of activity, putting the finishing touches on the magnificent mosque center to warmly welcome the distinguished visitors.
