In his Easter message delivered on Thursday, the Maigari emphasized Christ’s sacrificial act for humanity’s redemption and encouraged Christians to emulate his example for the betterment of society.
Alhaji Ibrahim urged both Christian and Muslim leaders to intensify prayers for the nation, emphasizing the significance of concurrent fasting by adherents of both faiths as an indication of divine intervention. He stressed the importance of seeking divine guidance and intervention for Nigeria’s progress and prosperity.
Additionally, the Maigari appealed to the Federal Government to consider reopening the borders to alleviate the suffering of the populace, who are currently facing severe hardships. He underscored the need for government policies that prioritize the welfare of citizens and contribute to socioeconomic stability.
Furthermore, Alhaji Ibrahim urged Muslims observing Ramadan to pray fervently for the nation, particularly for the success of the present administration in Kogi State under the leadership of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. He called upon all religious adherents to adhere strictly to the teachings of their faiths and to pray collectively for the advancement of society.
