Global afro-music icon, Davido, is all set to make a splash at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) campaign in Anyigba, as they rally support for their gubernatorial candidate, Senator Dino Melaye.
The anticipated three-day event, kicking off next week, aims to ignite enthusiasm among grassroots voters and rejuvenate the PDP’s presence as the main opposition party in the state.
Senator Dino Melaye revealed the campaign strategy while hosting stakeholders from the Ankpa Federal Constituency at his Lokoja residence over the weekend.
With a mission to cover all nine local government areas in Kogi East, the campaign seeks to reassure voters that the PDP remains a robust contender capable of challenging the APC’s hold on power.
In a bid to amplify the campaign’s allure, Davido and other emerging music talents will grace the stage, underscoring the PDP’s readiness for the impending governorship election.
Senator Dino Melaye urged massive mobilization of citizens, explaining that the party’s delayed statewide campaign was a deliberate strategic move, not a sign of dwindling support.
Prominent PDP figures from across the nation, led by the spirited dancer and Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, as well as Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, among others, are poised to join this dynamic campaign effort.
