Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara, located in Kogi State, has obtained the official approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce 11 additional undergraduate programs.
Balogun Omeiza David, the Head of the institution’s Public Relations Unit, announced this exciting development in a statement. He highlighted that after undergoing an extensive Resource Verification Assessment Visit by a panel of NUC experts, CUSTECH successfully secured the approval.
A portion of the official letter from the NUC states: “I am pleased to inform the Vice-Chancellor that the Executive Secretary has reviewed and approved the establishment of the full-time mode for the following undergraduate programs at the University’s Main Campus, effective from the 2023/2024 academic session.”

The approved programs include B.Sc. Architecture, B.Sc. Building, B.Sc. Geography, B.Sc. Surveying and Geo-informatics. Additionally, B.Sc. Urban and Regional Planning, B.Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Actuarial Science, B.Sc. Business Administration, B.Sc. Transport and Logistics Management, B.Sc. Human Resource Management, and B.Sc. Economics have also been added.
With this development, CUSTECH now offers a total of 30 programs, including its existing courses:
Faculty of Science: Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Statistics, Geology, Applied Geophysics, and Physics.
Faculty of Computing and Information: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, and Information Technology.
Faculty of Computing and Information: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, and Information Technology.
Faculty of Engineering: Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.
The statement further highlighted that CUSTECH, as a prestigious academic institution, already has its first set of students in the 300 level and will soon commence the admission process for new students in the upcoming 2023/2024 academic session.
