On Sunday night, Britain’s Got Talent returned for the second episode of its 2023 series, featuring an array of entertaining acts that left viewers stunned. The judges, including Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and newcomer Bruno Tonioli, had the task of deciding which acts would move forward in the competition. One of the acts that shocked audiences was a hopeful who set himself on fire while attempting to complete a Rubik’s Cube.

The episode also featured Simon’s selection of his Golden Buzzer auditionee, 13-year-old choirboy Malakai Bayoh, who moved the panel to tears. Fans on social media were quick to demand that Malakai win the £250,000 prize and perform at the Royal Variety Performance in front of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Viewers were also delighted by a Latin dance duo, with one of the dancers, 24-year-old Nathan, who has Down’s Syndrome, giving Alesha a sarcastic side-eye when she surprised him with a visit before having a “sassy” exchange with Bruno.

Fans were also thrilled by the show’s Coronation Street-themed intro, in which hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly lost the judges while exploring the soap’s famous set. They later found Amanda, Alesha, and Bruno at Roy’s Rolls cafe, where they sat around a small table dressed in their finery. Amanda wore a bold red figure-hugging dress and pulled her long blonde tresses up in a neat high ponytail, while Alesha stunned in a pink number and slicked her dark locks back into a stylish up-do, and Bruno cut a dapper figure in a black leather jacket.

Overall, the second episode of Britain’s Got Talent left viewers thoroughly entertained and excited for what’s to come in the rest of the season.
